Esta is a Japanese fusion hair salon located in bustling Finchley Road, its narrow and long interior needed to be light and welcoming.
A desire to use only raw, natural and organic materials on a small budget lead us to draw inspiration from thirteen trestle tables.
Wood was re-purposed from a job-lot of tables and used to build the salon work stations. Re-purposed fruit crates provide wall mounted storage and scaffold planks stripped and sanded provide shelving.
The neutral palette of materials and colour lends itself well to the existing red salon chairs. The introduction of a retro music centre as a reception desk pulled all the elements together, the salon interior is classic and inviting, fresh and modern.
